Air Purification
Why some people have to give their parrots up because they found out after the fact, that they are allergic to their new parrot. But than many people seem to be allergic to animals in general. When it comes to parrots Cockatiels, African Greys & Cockatoos seem to be more dusty than other parrots. Also some people that have many parrots run the risk of getting parrot lung.
What is parrot lung you may ask. Bird Breeder's Lung or Bird Breeder's Disease is one of the many common names given to hypersensitivity pneumonitis, also known as allergic alveolitis. The condition is an inflammation in the lungs caused by exposure to a foreign substance, usually organic dust. The offending particles may come from bird dust, but birds are not the exclusive culprit. It can come from molds or even plants. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is frequently an occupational hazard. It is also known as , Pigeon Breeder's Lung, Farmer's lung, Mushroom Picker's Disease, Cheese Workers Lung, Humidifier or air-conditioner lung and many other names.
Although not a problem for most bird owners, bird dust and feather particles can cause serious damage to lungs. The situation is more likely to occur when many birds are kept in a confined space and exposure is over a prolonged period of time.
So we all have gone out and bought some type of air cleaner. It always seems when we need to replace the filters that they can be costly. If the dust is bad for us, what about the parrots that live with us? I have suffered with asthma, but have inhalers in case I have an attack. Because I have parrots it has been suggested that this is not a good combination. But I love having them, and why should I have to give them up? As I was saying at the beginning am not alone.
Do a search on indoor pollution, you might be quite surprised what comes up. Could it be that when we think we are allergic to parrots that in fact it could be only a small part of the problem? Studies show that indoor pollution can be 5 times or more worse than outside. We opened up a small company called Family Advance Healthcare. Although we sell many different products, our air purification units we can't keep in stock.
We believe before you can sell a product you must test it first. As I mention I have asthma I have not used my inhalers once since getting one of the units. I have even tested it with people that have many parrots and the results you can see for yourself on our testimonial page. We offer a no risk trial on 1 of the units. We have yet to have a machine come back.
So something to think about if you suffer from allergies, asthma, sinus conditions, second hand smoke, pet odors, mold, mildew or even snoring…you may be feeling sick from the effect of indoor air pollution. The air purification units we sell studies have been done with MRSA the results, these machines stop MRSA 99.99%. We even sell a product to hook to your washing machine called Nosuds. You no longer have to use laundry soap to wash your cloths.
